Principal Message

Shyamala Devi Junior College Mrs.I.V.S. Hema Malini, Principal

To quote Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, ‘To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened’. If a woman grows, the family grows, the village grows, the nation grows. The empowerment should be started at the teenage level. Every woman needs to be strong physically, mentally & socially.

It’s been twenty four long years that the College has been striving its best to implement these valuable words of wisdom into practice. This is possible only due to the unstinted guidance & support of the management of Telangana Yuvathi Mandali.

I believe that the function of education is to teach one to think intensively & critically. Intelligence plus character is the goal of true education. We have been imparting this spirit of education to the students.

The young girls who have entered the portals of the college need to be prepared to take on the challenges which they encounter in their later life. Keeping this in view, we are counselling them and focusing on various issues related to life which give them the inner strength & thereby lead them to an empowered state.

Apart from imparting their academic achievements, the college helps in boosting their morale, self-esteem & enhances coping strategies for a better future.

I feel privileged that the college is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. I compliment the sincere & dedicated staff, who, with their experience and knowledge mould the students in a right path.
